There are several vulnerabilities found in various version of the OpenSSL library. There are a total of 8 seperate vulnerabilities, 2 are marked as Moderate, and 6 are marked as Low. All users of OpenSSL versoin(s): 1.0.1, 1.0.0 and 0.9.8 need to upgrade to the latest patched version.

Bash Security Exploit

A security vulnerability in the popular GNU Bourne Again Shell (Bash), the command-line shell used in most Linux and Unix operating systems, including Mac OS X, could be susceptible to exploitation. The bug and potential exploit was discovered by Stephane Schazelas. It is related to how Bash processes environmental variables passed by the operating system or by a program calling a Bash-based script. If Bash has been configured as the default system shell (default it most cases), it can be used in network–based attackers against Unix and Linux devices via various network protocols or other programs that use Bash to execute scripts.
